Tempering of bending machine frame
What is tempering of bending machine
Tempering of bending machine refers to the processing technology of heating the entire bending machine under constant temperature conditions after processing the workpiece, and then slowly cooling it to room temperature to eliminate the residual stress of the workpiece and improve the toughness and ductility of the workpiece.
Methods of tempering of bending machine
1. Temperature control: The tempering temperature should generally be controlled within the tempering temperature range of the workpiece material, usually between 600℃-700℃. Too high or too low will affect the performance of the workpiece.
2. Insulation time: The tempering time should be determined according to the thickness and material of the workpiece. Too short time will lead to unobvious tempering effect, and too long time will cause the material to become brittle.
3. Cooling method: After tempering, it should be slowly cooled to room temperature. Air cooling or oil quenching can be used.
Precautions for tempering of bending machine
1. Strictly control the temperature and time to avoid too high or too low, too long or too short.
2. Before tempering, thoroughly clean the oil stains and oxide scale on the surface of the workpiece to prevent poor tempering effect.
3. During tempering, ensure that the surface of the workpiece is evenly heated to avoid carburization, hardening or softening.
4. Avoid sudden cooling or too fast cooling during cooling to avoid problems such as surface cracking and internal cracks on the workpiece.
Summary
Bending machine tempering is an important processing technology to improve the performance of the workpiece. Mastering the methods and precautions of tempering can effectively improve the toughness and ductility of the workpiece and reduce the risk of workpiece failure.
